Dear Everybody,

Well, the presentation ceremony was just a teensie bit of a debacle, due to my not having handheld access to my emails.  The communication cancelling the event was sent while I was in transit to Henley, so I had the wonderful experience of turning up at the Rowing Museum in my best bib and tucker with the lovely Mrs. Bromilow (similarly attired) on my arm, to be greeted with an expression of horror on the face of the receptionist, who gave us the bad news.  Nonetheless, I had a delightful time visiting with my friends, and also a very pleasant (if chilly) paddle in a double on the Henley reach with Mary.  So it goes.

Rob did a sterling job of covering for my absence (which he is doing again next Saturday – I will be with Jake and Sam at the  JIRR Trials in Nottingham), and Sunday was as usual.

Yours,

Lewis
