Derwent Rowing Club is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for all its members.  All club members have a responsibility to support this objective and our codes of conduct, which can be found in the club documents section, reflect this.

In particular, Derwent Rowing Club acknowledges its duty of care to safeguard the welfare of children and is committed to ensuring good safeguarding practice.  Our child protection policy statement can be found in the club documents section.  This club policy applies to all members, coaches, volunteers, parents and anyone involved with the club, whether or not they are British Rowing members.  All these people have a duty of care to safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and prevent their abuse.

The Club Welfare Officer is Paul Beaman, whose contact details can be found on posters in the Clubhouse.  If you have any welfare concerns or recommendations for how we can improve, please contact Paul.
