The boys were narrowly beaten by a Burton Leander crew who had raced in 5 regattas already. 

Tom and Guy were down on the start thanks to a severe stagger but went through opposition after about 15 strokes. I lost sight of them at that point and when I caught up they were down but not by much having had a few bad strokes. They seemed to be coming back but ran out of course. 

The photo was taken about 20 strokes from the finish.
