Not a great deal to report, as we only opened for trading Tuesday and Thursday, but even then, newbie David Walker managed to fall out of Pocket Battleship with floats on (not so unusual, you may recall Ethan Campbell-O’Connor pulling the same trick in Rose).  Unlike Ethan, David managed to get himself back in the boat and row home, so well done David!

 

Sheila Furniss has asked me to inform you all of the death of Graham Radford, a former member.  He rowed with the club in the late sixties.  As he has donated himself to science, there will not be a funeral, but a memorial gathering is being organised at the Markeaton Hotel on Friday 26 April at 1 pm, and those of you who recall Graham are invited to attend.
