Dear Everyone,

97 sessions this week (39 on Sunday) so we are getting back up to speed.  Alex fell in off the dock on Saturday (forgot to do up his inside gate – what is he like?), and on Sunday Lily Burrows came off her floats successfully (Yay!) but fell in on her last trip round (Awww!).  She coped well with the cold, and was able to get back in the boat and scull home to a hot shower.  This puts her well ahead for the Capsize Drill, and off floats for good.

Speaking of which, out of twenty-six possible candidates for the Drill, I’ve had nine confirmations.  I’ll send it again.

Also, a newbie this weekend: Scarlett Butler (obviously Rhett’s first daughter).  Scarlett went off the string first time in Yellow Peril on Saturday, and came back Sunday for another bout (and coped well in the windy conditions – which contributed to Lily’s mishap).  A fine boat with floats next time for Scarlett!

  Yours,

Lewis
